Dr. Kapoor earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the Bapuji Dental College and Hospital Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science in Karnataka, India, and followed through with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Colorado (UOC). Being a general dental practitioner allows Dr. Kapoor to work with both adults and children handling dental care from beginning to end, including case histories, diagnoses, endodontic and prosthodontic treatment, extractions, restorations, and general dental procedures. The most important part of the job, however, is patient education and comfort.
“My work at Monticello Family Dental enables me to serve the community by providing excellent comprehensive dental care by using my acquired skills both as a competent professional and as a compassionate human being,” Dr. Kapoor says. For her, the decision to enter the dental field was prompted in part by family; “Many of my family members are physicians, dentists, and engineers, and my eldest sister required significant dental work after an accident, so it felt right to pursue dentistry.” When not engaged in providing excellent dental care, Dr. Kapoor can be found spending time with family (happily married for 12 years, with an 11-year-olddaughter and a 3-year-old son), supporting charity efforts through Give Kids a Smile and the American Red Cross, and shopping at the local mall. Given a year off to do anything, a world tour with the whole family along for the trip would be ideal!
